Arrival
Parking is available on all sides of the church buildings, and you can even park in Coral Gables Parking Lot #19, nearby. When worship services are taking place, the most-frequently used parking is on the East and North sides of the building.
We are known as a friendly church and we make an effort to keep up that reputation.
Our congregation is a diverse group, coming from varied backgrounds, and at different states of knowledge and spiritual growth. We have Sunday School classes for all ages. We have members and visitors who dress up on Sunday and others who dress in a very casual manner. We enjoy the variety of our diverse membership and hope you will as well.
The Sanctuary
Enter the sanctuary by the front doors, and enter the Narthex, (the welcome area). A Greeter and/or Usher will meet you and answer any questions you may have. If you enter the building from the North parking area, please follow the arrows that say Worship Service.
Got Kids?
If you have small children and would like for them to be in the extended nursery care during the worship service, please sit with them at the time of the Children’s Sermon and walk with them, if you wish, or have them follow the nursery care giver, Josephine Gurri.
Our extended nursery is for children up to the age of 5. Josephine is CPR certified and has been our nursery care giver for over 10 years. If you have older children and would like for them to stay in worship with you there are Children’s Sunday Bulletins for them to work on during the service if they wish or take home. The bulletins will reflect on the sermon for adults. There are also activity bags for them, you may ask an usher for one.
If you are a first time visitor please fill out the green form in your bulletin and place in the offering plate. We use this information to send you a gift from the congregation, send a letter from the pastor and provide you with information that might answer any questions you may have.
Riviera follows a traditional worship style with a printed bulletin where you can follow the Order of Service and sing from the hymnals.
Communion
Communion at RPC is on the First Sunday of every month. The invitation to the Lord’s Supper is extended to all who have been baptized. Do not feel uncomfortable is you don’t wish to take Communion.
After Services
After the service, refreshments and goodies will be available either in the Narthex or in the courtyard. This is “Holy Grounds” time. Please feel free to have refreshments and speak with our Pastor and members. Our members try to find people who may be new to our church and make them feel welcome. But we are human and sometimes we may miss you. Please introduce yourself to someone and them you are “new”.
We guarantee you will be welcomed!
